Siemens Healthineers joined the groundbreaking ceremony of the Stroke International Services hospital

On 20th July 2017, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Stroke International Services (SIS) hospital took place in Can Tho city. The ceremony had the honor to welcome Mr. Luong Ngoc Khue – Head of Medical Services Administration of Ministry of Health (MOH), Prof. Sirintara Pongpech – president of World Federation of Interventional & Therapeutic Neuroradiology and representatives from government authorities of Can Tho city. Siemens was honored to be invited as one strategic partner of SIS. Dr. Bernd Hofmann from Siemens Healthineers Germany joined the groundbreaking ceremony and participated as one of the key speakers for the Updated diagnosis and treatment of stroke and cerebrovascular disease – international scientific workshop.

 

In the future, the SIS hospital will provide medical services for many Stroke patients in the Mekong delta region by making advanced healthcare more accessible. The hospital is expected to be able to share the burden with center hospitals in Ho Chi Minh city.
