The hand-over ceremony of six hundred forty Siemens hearing aid devices took place in 2nd Nov, 2011 in Ho Chi Minh City thereby six hundred forty poor patients with hearing problem living in the central and southern region of Vietnam will enjoy a better life from now on. This magic become a reality thanks to the charitable donation of Americans Helping Asian Children (AHAC), the Consular Club in Ho Chi Minh City and Siemens Medical Instruments Pte. Ltd through the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients in Ho Chi Minh City.
In order to help poor children with hearing problems have a better life and future through better education and social integration, there have been many charity programs such as “Sound and voice to hearing impaired children”. This program is run by the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients (SAPP) in Ho Chi Minh City and is sponsored by many organizations and individuals. Thanks to it, over 13,000 hearing aids have been provided for the children with hearing loss in the central, the north, and the South in Mekong Delta areas and Ho Chi Minh City since 1998.
At today’s first ceremony of fitting hearing aids, two hundred eighty four (284) hearing impaired children of 16 schools in Ho Chi Minh City and nearby provinces such as Tay Ninh, Ben Tre, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ba Ria – Vung Tau will be donated with hearing aids after making audiogram and earmolds.
Hearing loss screenings, testing and hearing aid fittings will be conducted by qualified audiologists from Quang Duc Hearing Services Company that is one of the official authorized dealers of Siemens Hearing Aids in Vietnam.
